Character Camp
Character Camp is a week-long orientation for incoming students. It's a great way to make some amazing friends and become more familiar with the C of O campus before school starts. There are plenty of fun activities like lip sync, the Catwalk, etiquette banquet, challenge course, and many more. Something you do NOT want to miss out on!
Coffee House
Students can show off their musical talent as one of the featured bands during coffee house! Enjoy a relaxing evening with snacks, music, and friends. Coffee…need I say more?
King of Hearts
ETERNAL GLORY awaits the candidate that proves himself worthy of capturing the hearts of the student body.

Girls ask the guys. Lots of line dancin’ and bluegrass music. There might even be some succotash for good eatin’!
Mudfest
Mudfest is an event that happens every fall semester. It’s the CofO version of Tug-of-War. You WILL get muddy, and you WILL have fun! Clean off afterward with a gigantic slip-and-slide!
Spring Formal
Student dress in the finest formal attire for the Spring Formal dance.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
There are many leadership opportunities at Hard Work U that promote personal growth and the ability for students to make an impact on the campus community. Those students that desire to be the voice of the student body may get involved with Student Senate. The Council for Student Programs is also a great opportunity for students that wish to improve school spirit and student activities. The Leadership Development Tract provides students with the necessary tools they need in order to become a successful citizen of Christlike character. Students that have proven to be exceptional leaders and possess quality character can also become a peer leader in our freshman orientation program known as Character Camp. There are many additional leadership opportunities that provide students of all desires to get involved.

STUDENT RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS
Students must be 17 years old by the first day of Character Camp (new student orientation) of the semester for which they are applying. All unmarried students are required to live on campus. After the first year at the College, students may be considered for off-campus status (commuting) if:
Students are reminded there is a maximum number of commuting positions available. Priority is given to students who are student teaching or completing nursing preceptorships outside the forty-mile distance.

RESIDENCE LIFE
It is the goal of the College of the Ozark's Resident Directors to help build community for on campus students. Students living on campus will be able to enjoy multiple events per semester within their dorms, as well as meet lifelong friends.
